Led by the acclaimed toy designers Monster Factory, each day of our four-day program explores the creation of plush toys from concept to construction, character, narrative development and world. Set within Magic Pony, Toronto's premiere space for young contemporary art, attendees will create and sew their own original, plush companion to bring home. |

INSTRUCTOR PROFILESDIANA MCNALLYDiana McNally is an education professional that has previously worked with the Design Exchange, Harbourfront Centre and the Canadian National Exhibition developing and implementing arts-based workshops. She is currently an instructor of design at Ryerson University. MONSTER FACTORYThe Monster Factory is a character toy brand run by Adam Dunn, Rhya Tamasauskas, and Bliss Man. Together they design and create engaging monster characters who live in a strangely familiar world. Combining their backgrounds in film, art and fashion, the creators have developed a strong sense of collaboration that affects every aspect of their process from storytelling to product design. FOR ATTENDEES» The first day of our workshop (Tuesday) runs from 9 am to noon, while subsequent days (Wednesday to Friday) run from 9am until 3 pm. Pre-care is available beginning at 8:30 am, while after-care is available until 5 pm. Both are complimentary
