About Tibi Tibi Neuspiel
Mining the banal for the prophetic and haunting, Tibi Tibi Neuspiel references tangible understandings of the natural world and elements culled from popular culture. Neuspiel’s practice covers a diverse range of media including both traditional and digital techniques, and also includes collaborations with various artists. In 2011, Neuspiel partnered with artist Geoffrey Pugen, creating the highly acclaimed Nuit Blanche performance The Tie-break. More recently, Neuspiel and Pugen produced Hurdles, commissioned by the Art Gallery of Ontario. 

Neuspiel has exhibited his work at institutions and art fairs throughout North America, Europe, and Japan, including at the AGO, MOMA PS1, Art Basel, and Tokyo Wonder Site. He was recently awarded an Emerging Artist Grant from the Ontario Arts Council, the Mudge Massey Travelling Award, and the Haydn Davies Memorial Award. Beginning fall 2013, Tibi will be an MFA candidate at NYU.
