Limited edition of 100 signed and numbered game sets by Canadian artist Jamiyla Lowe.
"Snakes and Ladders originated in India and was later popularized in Victorian England as a game that often taught morality lessons, this box set explores the artistry of the boards’ design, using the themes and imagery consistent in my work, while working within the parameters of the rules of the game. These games were historically hand painted and designed by artists with each interpretation having the same rules apply, while the imagery varied by being culturally specific to where and when it was produced. The edition was printed on fabric to allow for the flexibility of being displayed as a print and to function as a game, presented along with game pieces in order to be conveyed to viewers as a tactile object rather than solely an art piece."
