Magic Pony, June 10 - July 4, 2010

Welcoming contemporary pop artists FriendsWithYou for their first visit to Toronto, Magic Pony produced and launched the The Wish Come True Pop-Up Shop marking the official launch of MP x FWY apparel and limited edition art prints alongside favourite supermagical toys such as the “Wish Come True” minifigures, “Luckies” magical charms, and a showcase of early FWY product design including original plush and wood characters. Wish Come True includes limited edition magical T-Shirts, art prints and chocolate bars celebrating the premiere of Rainbow City at Toronto's Luminato Art Festival.

We launched the Pop-Up Shop with a special appearance by The Rainbow King and the creators of FriendsWithYou - Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III. Artists and fans were welcome to meet and join in celebrating the artists’ first Canadian appearance! Finally, Magic Pony and Narwhal Projects presented Daydreamers, a solo exhibition showcasing FriendsWithYou’s painted works for the first time in Canada.
