We love Art!

As a natural extension of our shop, Magic Pony programs exhibitions to present creativity from all artistic spheres. Exploring the convergences between fine art, design, and visual culture, we seek to redefine what an art space should be; we combine the commercial gallery paradigm with the contemporary attitude of an alternative exhibition space. This mandate enables the professional and personal development of artists, encouraging risk-taking and allowing creative freedom, also while providing the public with an inviting and accessible art space.

With a dynamic programming range, Magic Pony's Gallery comprises illustration, graphic design, urban art, pop surrealism, video games, comics, material arts, and a DIY aesthetic. We focus primarily on gallery exhibitions, though we also host product launches and signings, designer toy trading parties, music events, and workshops. Since 2004, we've had the pleasure of working with a huge range of artists, including Kozyndan, Junko Mizuno, FriendsWithYou, Gary Taxali, Jon Burgerman, Nathan Jurevicius, Tara McPherson, Dalek, Gary Baseman, Space 1026, Team Macho, Sonja Ahlers and Tavi Gevinson among others.

In December 2008, Magic Pony opened Narwhal Projects, an expanded gallery space dedicated exclusively to exhibitions. For more information, visit www.narwhalprojects.com.
