These totally radical matte brass earrings are 1 1/4" long and were probably manufactured in the 1980's. They remind us a little of the removable earrings that came with my "Roxy and the Misfits" doll. Since they're vintage, the designers over at Erica Weiner say they can't be sure exactly what type of metal the posts are, but their guess is that they're stainless or surgical steel. Each pair has been carefully cleaned, repaired as necessary, and given new 14K gold-plated backs. Earrings come attached to cardstock packaging bearing an "Erica Weiner Jewelry" logo.
Erica Weiner Jewelry is a grassroots company that was started in 2005 between Erica and co-founder Lindsay Salmon. Inspired by their travels, each piece draws on vintage materials, curiosities in nature, and are designed with a tongue-and-cheek sense of humour. All of their jewelry is 100% handmade in New York City and each line has an emphasis on craftsmanship and affordability. Erica Weiner Jewelry's packaging is also environmentally conscious and a percentage of profits are donated to various charities.
