Once the designers at Erica Weiner Jewelry find a component that speaks to them, they tend to experiment with it, incorporating it into as many pieces as possible until they find an iteration that sticks. When they folded a pair of these 3-inch-long brass arrow charms into gently curving half-circles and attached them to thin gold-plated earwires, they knew they had a winner. It's one of those wear-it-many-ways designs: do you want the arrowhead or the fletching facing out? Maybe you want to wear one each way. With the earwires, the total circumference of each earring is about 4 1/2 inches. The brass charms will oxidize beautifully and unpredictably over time.
Erica Weiner Jewelry is a grassroots company that was started in 2005 between Erica and co-founder Lindsay Salmon. Inspired by their travels, each piece draws on vintage materials, curiosities in nature, and are designed with a tongue-and-cheek sense of humour. All of their jewelry is 100% handmade in New York City and each line has an emphasis on craftsmanship and affordability. Erica Weiner Jewelry's packaging is also environmentally conscious and a percentage of profits are donated to various charities.
