Magic Pony is pleased to announce “Friends for Life” a group show by Toronto’s conceptual art gangsters - Team Macho. This event will premiere the paintings & illustrations of Team Macho as well as launch a their latest handscreened poster book and plush art toy.

Team Macho is the working name for the collaborative artworks of 5 young artist Illustrators from Toronto, Ontario. Lauchie Reid, Buchan, Nicholas Aoki, Jacob Whibley, and G. Stephen Appleby-Barr are intent on creating challenging content via intense collaborative works and the spirit of massive production. They are the founders of Tigerpress Books, publisher of The Mummy Concerns & The Mummy Sojourns among others.

Team Macho Artists Statement:
“ This one time me and Nick were walking down the road and we saw a squirrel and Lauchie threw a paper cup at it and then the squirrel ran up the side of the building but Buchan was on top of the building and grabbed it up in a net and gave it to Jacob and Jacob said “i am the newest member of team macho” and we all said “like diamonds you are!” - G.Stephen Appleby Barr II
