Magic Pony is pleased to announce Flight Club: Solo Show with Moira Hahn. Hahn is an American artist with a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of Edo-period Japanese ukiyo-e prints. Her work seamlessly combines Eastern and Western culture and portrays a fascinating juxtaposition between ancient and modern times.
In Flight Club Hahn explores the unbalanced relationships between creatures in the natural world. Undercurrents about the social and political state of the world co-exist within these narratives where folkloric creatures engage each other in surreal settings. Subliminal and lush, Hahn prefers to allow her images to be interpreted by the individual rather than enforcing specific agendas.
Flight Club runs from October 5-November 5 at the Magic Pony Gallery. The opening reception will be held on October 5 from 6-10pm.
