Lactaid Dreams
Magic Pony is thrilled to present 'Lactaid Dreams'. A solo show and book
launch with Los Angeles based illustrators Kozyndan. This special event
marks Kozyndan's first Canadian exhibition and the launch of their highly
anticipated second book, 'Lactaid Dreams'. The exhibit will run from September
24-October 25, 2004. The opening reception will be held on Friday September
24 from 7-11pm at the Magic Pony Shop and Gallery. Kozyndan will be in
attendance at the opening.
This exhibition will showcase original pencil illustrations from the colouring
book, large panoramics and painted pieces on a selection of mediums raging
from wood to paper.
About
Kozyndan
Kozyndan are Los Angeles based mad scientists/artists/ illustrators/lovers/
dorks who appreciate and revel in the absurdity of the contemporary world.
Their digitally painted pencil drawings reflect the dichotomy of being
at once in love with and repulsed by the rampant urban sprawl, technology
and the disconnection with the natural world so many people are faced
with today.
Their commercial work includes projects for Electronic Arts, Nike, Wieden+Kennedy
and Idn, CD covers for Lyrics Born, The Postal Service, John Mayer, and
Weezer, plus work for magazines such as Tokion, Giant Robot, XLR8R, and
Official Playstation Magazine.
Urban Myths, their first book (a collection of their illustration from
the past year and a half), was recently published by Giant Robot.
