About our Blythe Workshop Customizers
Emily Materick is a after hours artist from Toronto with dreams of one day
spending all her time creating with her sewing machine & camera. After the
first custom doll she created, a mohair punk named Rufus, she teamed up with
the amazing Ms. Misty from New Orleans to form SKM. Since then not only has
her personal collection grown to include a multitude of Blythes, Asian ball
jointed dolls and tiny plastic food but customers world wide have welcome
SKM's beautiful and sometimes a little spooky creations into their homes.
Recently, SKM has begun creating one of kind dolls for sale on Ebay and
welcomed seamstress extraordinaire, Kitty from Idaho to their team.
Amy Greenan is an artist from the Buffalo, NY area who fell for Blythe two
years ago and hasn't looked back since. Her growing family of ten girls
includes four who continually challenge her customizing skills -- Mette (an
unknown mohair), Franz Ballard (Lounging Lovely), Yuki (Candy Carnival), and
Thera Margit (Disco Boogie), the latter who turned into a loving
collaborative effort with fellow workshop instructor Emily Materick. She is
fascinated by Blythe fashion, loves painting "the perfect lip", and has a
special place in her heart for short-haired girls and EBLs. Amy has plans to
launch a Blythe clothing line this summer and hopes to work on more projects
with SKM in the future.
